Owner and founder of Dexter's Pet Shop, Drew, only wanted what was best for his dog, Dexter, to live a long and healthy life.

Drew found difficulty obtaining good advice in many of the chain pet stores which eventually led Drew to researching pet nutrition and health to uphold a safe and healthy lifestyle for Dexter.Dexter was born with a number of food and airborne allergies. As a result of this, Drew decided to use his new found knowledge to open a pet shop where quality advice, knowledgeable service and great prices were to be the new standard. 

Nono is a very friendly kitten in Dexter’s great group of friends. His food allergies led to gastrointestinal tract bleeding and cystitis that through the help of a veterinarian and Dexter’s pet shop he no longer has any issues. Due to these allergies Nono ended up on a restricted ingredient diet of wet and dry chicken. His proud owner takes lots of photos of Nono and his mischief uploads them on Instagram for the world to share.

Dexter's Pet Shop opened it's doors for the first time on November 1st 2015 in the city of Calgary. As a local business we offer free delivery on orders above $50 anywhere within Calgary city limits.

We are your local independent pet shop that is here to serve you. 

Subscription purchases are always available to have your food and treats delivered automatically.  With subscription you will receive loyalty on every purchase.  You can either have it billed to your credit card or debited from your account each month

Refunds and Shipping

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can return the product and get a full refund or exchange the product for another one, be it similar or not.

You can return a product for up to 30 days from the date you purchased it. Any product you return must be in the same condition you received it and in the original packaging. Please keep the receipt.

- We provide Free same day shipping within the city of Calgary and town of Chestemere with all purchases.

- Note that there are restrictions on some products

- We ask that you try to keep orders over $45 to help us cover the shipping costs.

-To ensure same day delivery please place order before 12;15pm

Shipping Across Canada 

- When you place or of $100 or more you will receive free shipping to your home in any of the 10 provinces

- Order under $100 will be charge $24.95 shipping charge anywhere in the 10 provinces

- Note that there are restrictions on some products

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within 30 days of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper, the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it, and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
